A sister class to Drawing in Plein Air
Painting in Plein Air participants will explore downtown Lancaster by way of the brush and watercolor. This workshop is an opportunity to practice observational skills and learn to capture the essence of a scene, effectively recording visual information. All experience levels welcome. All painting materials are provided, however participants should bring their own sketchbooks for pre-sketches. $30.00 admission.
Saturday, August 25th 2018 from 10am-12pm
Hand letter your favorite one-line quote using pens, inks, and watercolor. Participants will learn how to create a simple arrangement of words with decorative elements to create a beautiful piece to display at home. All art materials provided. $30.00 admission.
Saturday, September 15 and 22nd, 2018 from 11am-2pm
Participants will gain an understanding through play and experimentation on how the use of monoprinting can create an abstract landscape. In this two-part workshop, participants will discover how to print without the need of a press, perfect for the at-home studio creators and beginner enthusiasts to the medium. $30 per class or $50.00 admission for both dates September 15 and 22nd combined.
Take parts one and two to capture the full monoprinting experience. $30 dollars per class or $50 for both. All materials provided.

Learn the technique of monochromatic painting, a painting method that uses various shades of a single color to help identify contrast and inform later, more colorful work. This workshop is perfect for the beginner painter or those interested in maintaining the practice of seeing light in the painting process. Materials provided. $25.oo admission.

Back by popular demand, this exciting workshop and beloved medium to Friendship Heart Gallery is shared again. Learn the art of flow acrylics and create a beautiful masterpiece to display in your home. These works make the perfect gift in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. $40.00 admission.

Take your gift the extra mile by learning to use a combination of materials, from memorabilia, to dried flowers, to wallpaper in interesting ways to create an “artfully” wrapped gift. All experience levels welcome, whether gift wrapping is the best part to you or you’d rather drop it in a bag, embrace the spirit of giving for a fun and enlightening time to thoughtfully gift for someone special to you.
Materials provided, but bring any decorative or specialty objects that may enhance the meaning of your gift.
