Visual Arts Grant Awarded

Friendship Community Receives $20,000 Florence Star Taylor Fund for Visual Arts Grant Fund Managed by Lancaster County Community Foundation Friendship Community received the Florence Star Taylor Fund for Visual Arts Grant totaling $20,000. The fund is managed by Lancaster County Community Foundation, an organization that holds community assets that help support Lancaster every year. Using these resources, the Community Foundation invests a portion of this money back into community benefit organizations and the emerging needs of Lancaster County. The Florence Star Taylor Fund for Visual Arts supports visual arts programs in the Lancaster community, with a preference given for those that serve underrepresented or underserved groups in our community. The grant will support the ministry of Friendship Heart Gallery, an extension of Friendship Community, which provides value through artistic expression to Artists with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Friendship Community is a Christian ministry cultivating the capabilities of adults with developmental disabilities in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
