Art Journal making—the sister class to papermaking, is an introductory course using handmade and drawing papers, intricate wallpapers, and other found materials to create personalized handmade journals and sketchbooks.  Creative Assistant at FHG and Lancaster creative, Maria Tomassetti, will demonstrate how to make a beautiful, 40-page, Japanese stab-stitch bookbinding, and fold-over cover journal.

As an art student in Italy, Tomassetti was fascinated by the bookbinding shops surrounding Florence, which inspired her passion for spreading knowledge of the practical through grass-roots learning.
