The gallery manager is a professional position in charge of various activities involved in running the Friendship Heart Gallery and online storefront. The overall tasks range from general administration, sales, marketing, developing relationships with both artists and buyers to assessing and electing artworks, organizing and supervising art exhibits, negotiating with curators from other art galleries, attending art fairs and auctions (internal and external).
ACCOUNTABILITIY:
The gallery manager is directly accountable to the director of advancement.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time hourly (40 hours per week), professional position with the ability to flex hours. Gallery hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Flexibility of hours will be required for special events, including the monthly external art exhibits, First Friday evening and Saturdays.

As a full-time associate director of operations, you will be eligible for the below benefits at 60 days.

The 2024 defined contribution is $150, which totals $5.77 per pay. Eligible after 60 day waiting period.

D. Sick time: Accrues per pay period, can be used immediately.
E. Retirement: Team member is able to contribute to 403(b) retirement plan after 30 days.
F. Holiday pay (full-time status): 7 paid holidays—New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday (or Good Friday for team members who do not normally work weekends), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
